AgroTechnoPole: Innovation and Partnerships around Wheel/Ground Performance

AgroTechnoPole: Innovation and Partnerships around Wheel/Ground Performance

The AgroTechnoPôle once again confirms its role as a strategic crossroads between applied research and the major players in agricultural innovation. Two recent meetings, as technical as they are forward-looking, have illustrated this dynamic.

Wheel/Ground Performance Evaluation: A Common Challenge

On the occasion of a day of technical exchanges, the AgroTechnoPôle brought together representatives of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and the BFH-HAFL (Bern University of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences) around a central theme: the performance of the wheel/ground connection.

The discussions focused on three major areas: soil compaction, its deformations, and the efficiency of tyres. These are all challenges to be met in order to build a more efficient and soil-friendly agriculture.

Among the participants were François Pinet, vice-president of the AgroTechnoPôle, Stephan Roessler, expert at Michelin, as well as Martin Hanstein and David Herrmann for the DLG. They were accompanied by specialists from INRAE – TSCF and BFH-HAFL. This meeting made it possible to bring out promising prospects for scientific and technical cooperation .

Meeting with Manitou: innovation at the heart of the dialogue

In a complementary dynamic, the AgroTechnoPôle also welcomed representatives of Manitou, a leading French company in the field of handling, lifting and earthmoving.

This visit allowed the teams to get to know the technological platform and the new infrastructures up close of the AgroTechnoPôle. The discussions focused on the the challenges of robotization, intelligent mobility and opportunities for collaboration around applied innovation projects.

These two days highlighted the importance of dialogue between research and industry, and paved the way for new synergies to advance agricultural transitions together.
